Dance Academy

Dance Academy is an extremely successful 26 part TV series exploring the life of a group of teenagers living the dream at the best dance school in Australia, created by Werner Film Productions and ABC3.

CLF was engaged by Werner Film Productions, ABC3 and ZDF to produce the Dance Maker; a fun choreography tool for the Dance Academy Website.

When using the Dance Maker, the user gets be the choreographer and direct the dancers from the cast of the show.

The user can pick their favourite dancer, their favourite song, and then gets to choreograph their own dance by choosing which moves the dancer should perform, and their location on the stage. They can then view their dance piece, upload it to the Dance Academy site, or share it with their friends!

The application has been very successful; within no time the activity and online destination received hundreds of thousands of visits and the site has been nominated at Kidscreen 2011 as Best Companion Website for tweens/teens.
